Up ready to leave the Negev Farm at 7am, not a back glance as we hit the highway towards the busstop.
Our workaway host had organised a meeting for 8am and our bus was leaving at 8.57am, so no sleepin allowed!!
He dropped us off 2 hours early, didn't say thanks for your help ... even tho Deane kept the place going for 5 days while he went on holiday and then he asked if we would be back next year!!
NOT LIKELY!!!
Not impressed, and for all you critics that are thinking, they're too old for this
... maybe youre right but nothing ventured nothing gained!!! ๐คฃ
Turned out he dropped us at the wrong stop, thankfully a bus stopped and we asked "Jerusalem" and the driver said over the other side down the road, we packed up & headed over there with 10 mins to spare!!! ps next bus wouldve been a 3 hour wait!!! ๐คจ
Anyway a 1.5 hour bus ride on a rickety old bus, with a driver that graunched most geas and we had 2 religious boys in front of us reading the Torah, wrapping their wrists with bands and chanting most of the way.
Arrived in Jerusalem, #75 bus didn't turn up, we asked loads of people, no WiFi so couldn't check our maps route and it had gone offline, so finally we started walking, sun was burning hot, finally got some help and onto the light rail that took us close to our hotel.
Navigated our way to the hotel, balcony room was no longer ours! ๐ค got what we didnt book, a room that was 3m x 3m bathroom included.
Deane got to the room exhausted after lugging 30kgs of tracts & gear up 4 flights of stairs, just about ready to take the next flight outta Israel!!!
Positives: the hotel was great location, great bed & great price... so some would say what more can you ask for!?! ๐
