Cattle Arriving home

After the 2 hour walk home from the saleyards, the men and cattle arrived safely.

Water from the borehole and grass chopped up will need to be collected every day so that the cattle keep well fed and healthy.

Deane talked to Aggrey and encouraged him to concentrate the feed in one small area, since the feed is not plentiful they needed to have it one small area that would not get trampled or crapped on. They then set to and made a feedlot, something no quite African.

YOU WON'T BELIEVE THIS NEXT PART:-
After all the negotiations, purchases, transportation and feedlot preparations were completed - Deane asked Aggrey where he would house the cattle at night. He pointed at the house!!! Yes a two bedroom and one small kitchen house (the size of double garage in NZ) was where they would sleep! NO WAY you say, we didn't believe him either and had to ask three or four times for confirmation BUT YES the cattle were going to sleep in the kitchen at night, next to where the family of 7 and grandmother were to sleep AND there are NO internal doors. The cattle would stay in the kitchen at night until they could make a shelter outside.
