Well we arrived safely in Lusaka and after 6 days without a proper shower we were all hanging out for a good shower and hair wash. We got to the guesthouse and booked in, they forgot to tell us they had water problems and so we only had cold water dribbling from the tap, yippee!! we'd had no water at samfya for the last 3 days and the village fire and hot water had been batter than anyway, so it was another night without a decent shower.
A reasonable sleep, lots of mozzies tho, saying our goodbyes to Levy, Agnes and Hoggies, then a quick toast and tea breaky before heading to the bus stop to catch the 9.00am bus to Livingstone.
Well all those stories about Zambian buses , theya re all untrue, at least, thankfully this time anyway. We got the business bus, it left on time and we were served morning tea, cake and drinks and they even had entertainment, a tv camera with movie!!! We had clean comfortable and reclining seats with heaps of legroom - Can you believe it, I couldnt and neither could Roger and Donald, who had never before experienced the luxuries on a Zambian bus.
ANyway 4 or 5 stops along the way to drop off and pickup passengers and a 10 minute lunch stop and we arrived at Livingstone at 3.30pm, a little late cos the roads are being redone and we had a few hairy detours through the bush.
Got our bags and headed to Faulty Towers Guesthouse, we got to our rooms, we unpacked, settled and hit the swimming pool to cool off. Down to the local mall to choose out of 4 or 5 choices for dinner.
