Wednesday School Programme

We had previously made arrangements with 3 of the local schools by our house in Kubamitwe to visit so the NZ mission team could do their school evangalism programme. The schools varied in ages (mostly primary) and the numbers ranged from 30 odd to 200. They were so pleased to see us and started by welcoming us with their Ugandan welcome song which took the first 45 minutes of our time. It was a hot day and fortunately there was a huge mango tree to sit under while the team performed their puppets and gospel message and some songs.
The principal and teachers were so grateful that we had come and also SO grateful for the sports equipment left behind (thanks to those that did the frizzbie demo!!!) and also some of the useful classroom materials.
Below are some of the pictures taken at the schools.

Well i didnt get any photos of school number 3 - I had to go back and organise lunch!!!
Busy afternoon with the ladies from my regular bible study coming at 4pm and hearing the testimonies and about the lives of the 3 women from the team, Cal, Judith and Marilyn. Great afternoon until I finished by telling them I would only be here for the next 6 weeks then would be returning to NZ. What a raucus that caused and I had to do some quick talking and Alex some fast interpreting, altho none of the women wanted to go home, they just wanted to sit and talk with everyone.
The men Al, Mike, Warwick and Herman helped Deane Daniel Zach Sam and Simon complete one of the two outstanding runs of barbed wire on the fence. Only one run to go, which cant be done until the week before we leave because it will stop people from just walking into our house and feeling welcome.
Deborah, Nikie our neighbours and regular visitors when we are at the village, made the most of extra company and food and spent a large amount of the four days at our house getting to know and wrap some of the team members around their little fingers!)
