Team heading to Kubamitwe

Tuesday we got up, had some laughs over breakfast and prepared the lunch ready for a visit to Mama Marks house. Mary had prepared a traditional Ugandan lunch from the food we had bought her the day before and invited her friends and family from around her house to join with us. Mary is Marks mother, the young man with cerebral palsy that the NZ mission team 2007 had added an extension to their house last year.

The team had a walk through Mukono High Street before heading to Marys for lunch. There was lots of people, heaps of food and we had a great afternoon of entertainment and conversation.

Tuesday night after dinner we had a coffee and dessert evening with the Hurleys where Shannon gave the team his vision for SOS Ministries in Uganda.

Wednesday we got up had breakfast and some of the guys went to the local bank to exchange currency before being picked up by the taxi for the ride to Kubamitwe. (Taxi was only 1.5 hours late!)

Pork Kebab snack on the side of the road then on to Wobulenzi for chapatis and a walk through the streets of Wobulenzi to the Pork Joint to get meat for dinner.

We arrived at the village, unpacked all the gear, looked around the boundary property and at the new house before setting up the tents for the team.
go Al!!!!
