Jodhpur

Known as the "Blue City"
Jodhpur had some great tourist sites and we spread them out over the 3 days we stayed there.
We arrived at our Luxury Boutique accomodation which was lovely, located on the edge of the Old City.
We visited the old city markets,
which were unbelievably chaotic and actually rather dirty, there was rubbish everywhere and a very common site was the mens open urinals around the streets 🫣

We visited the Stepwell
Some more rooftop restaurants for cold drinks which were much needed to rehydrate us as the city was very congested, enclosed and hot!
We visited the "blue area" of the city, which from the ground was hard to see, but from up high looked quite cool

the Mehrangarh Fort, which was amazing and apparently is the best kept & Preserved Fort in India, built on the top of a hill.

We also visited Jaswant Thada which is a cenotaph for the late ruler which was extremely well looked after, it was serene & peaceful with beautiful buildings and gardens

On the list of things to visit were some gardens, which, if they were maintained properly would be amazing but unfortunately they weren't maintained and the water ponds were smelly & stagnant, the gardens unkept and lawns & hedges uncut!
True the photo doesn't look that bad, but it was!!

We were often stopped by people wanting photos with us, Bri especially got a lot of unwanted attention from men and even had to ask people to stop videoing her as they were walking past!
This city was probably the worst so far for dirtiness, smelly ponds of rubbish in corners of the streets, stagnant water in residential areas and most of all the dead rats lying on the ground!
The hotel had a great breakfast to start the day and after a few nights of trying to find & make our way through the evening crowds a traffic of the old city, we used the hotel restaurant which cooked some amazing local food. Some days we like to get a Western style lunch just to give our stomachs a break from all the curry, Bri & Ross however are very adventurous with their food choices! and don't seem to have any side effects or repercussions 🤣🤭😂
