Day trip to Agra

Wednesday 19th October

A 6.30am departure to miss traffic and to get an early entry into the Taj Mahal temple,  without too mamy people.
It was a 3.5 hour drive south on the motorways, which I must say are in amazing condition and 3 lanes most of the way with not very many cars.  Loads of farms and villages along the roadside and they were burning rubbish so we drove for some time  through the smoke.

We arrived in Agra at the Taj Mahal, early but it was filled with thousands of people.

Certainly an impressive building  with interesting history and well looked after. The grounds were meticulously kept. Walked around for a couple of hours.

Then off to Pinch of Spice, an Indian restaurant Bri found for a delicious lunch of butter chicken, rogan josh mutton, garlic veges, garlic naaan and rice. PLUS spoons and forks 👌

After lunch we headed to the Agra fort which was another impressive building
