Northern Cyprus

Back over the border for a Turkish experience in Northern Cyprus, where accomodation, food and transport is heaps cheaper.

Enjoyed a relaxing few days by the pool at the hotel in the heat as well as doing a bit of looking around and enjoying local cuisine 😋 

Took a local minibus over the hill to Kyrenia or some call it Girne for a look around. 

Very pleased we didn't stay here as it is super busy and very touristy, nice harbour but couldn't find anywhere to swim! (where we are staying is very traditional turkish area)

Enjoyed NIC church on the Greek side of the border last week so much, that we decided to cross over again on Sunday ..... 1.5 hour walk to church  ..... and were so glad we went.  The singing was great, the message Matthew 7 vs 1-6 was a great reminder & encouragement.there were church regulars back from summer holidays so it was good to chat to a few people.  

Took a stroll through the market area on the way home

Next stop: a 10 day housesit with 2 dogs in Oroklini, Cyprus.
