Hotel was fine, we arrived & the room air conditioning was stuck on 26 degrees, just come from 35 degrees outside and it was 5pm. Desperate for a swim to cool off, the hotel pool was WARM and closed a time 6pm!!!!
We asked for air conditioning to be checked and they said the maintenance man wouldn't come in 10 or 15 mins, yeah right.......
Well he didn't come so I went down to the reception and was told the hotel was full, I said OK that's fine let me talk to the manager, funnily enough another room with a Seaview was found & we shifted in 5 minutes flat. New room, great view BUT a broken door lock - nothing worked so we had to call the manager back, thankfully he gave us a key that worked!
Not wanting the day to pass without a swim! But not wanting to swim in a heated pool we found out the hotel had an underpass under the highway to the
Sea and there was setup a "private beach" even tho it was on the side of the rockslide,
So Deane is pretty chuffed, he can now tell everyone he's swum in the Mediterranean Tyrrhenian & Ionian seas - not that that means too much to anyone else lol!!
