Bye to Alex & Simon and Mombasa

It was so great to experience the excitement on Alex and Simon's faces as they saw and did many things for the first time.

They got to fly with us from Uganda to Kenya for their first time on a plane.

They got to drive through the Great Rift Valley.

They visited Nairobi and Mombasa, kenya.

They got to ride in a tuk tuk .

They saw the Ocean for the very first time. Alex was mesmerised with the ocean and frequently would just walk behind taking photos of the foam from the waves, the rocks, he couldn't believe how the tides came and went, he would just walk out 100metres to see what he could see.

They got to ride the waves on a African catamaran, they were not quite sure of it and when we hit a tiny wave alex stood up and wanted to get out!

It was so lovely to see their excitement at things we take for granted. Things they have learned about and discussed in school but told us they never imagined in their wildest dreams that they would ever see or experience.

Well the time had come for our holiday to come to an end. We said our goodbyes as Alex and Simon boarded the 8.30pm bus from Mombasa to Nairobi, where they were to catch the next bus from Nairobi to Kampala, which we have since heard they missed and it ended up taking 24hours on the bus!
