Well we got to the Jo'burg airport at 6.30am and Donald and Roger were just hanging around, so bumped into them, said goodbye to Willie and then we went in and checked in our luggage for the next leg of our trip.
We flew to Ndola, Zambia. We were unable to purchase the multi visa, as on the website, so will have to reasses our travel arrangements as it will mean US$50 EVERY time we travel across the border in and out of Zambia on our travels.
We were greeted by Levy (from Samfya Bible School) and Crispen (Levy's friend that had the vehicle and that had driven down to meet us).
We headed into Ndola and changed some US$, Donald was still in western mode and was racing around the city organising the best rate for exchange. We were all a bit slower - in "african style" no fast pace around here!!
We got some bits and pieces and went to shoprite for some groceries.
We headed out to GLO Kanini Road, Ndola where we were staying for the next few nights.
We were met by Felix, the principal of GLO who showed us around the property and it certainly was very encouraging to see the work being done at GLO by the local well trained people. We had dinner with Simon and Mahongo that evening.
We found out that the man from MMM International Zambia that we were to do the infrastructure discussions with was in Hong Kong, so we had to make some alternative arrangements.
WELCOME TO AFRICA - Where the best made plans hardly EVER work out!!!
