Not sleeping in too late, Roger and Donald still on NZ time and getting up at 5.30am, not the quietest men in the house at that time of the morning!!! well one in particular~!!!
We headed into Ndola to exchange more $US, there is a limit for one person every day, so we have to do it in stages. Went to Immigration and Airport Visa place to see if they would consider changing our one visa to a multi visa, no way was that going to work.
We had lunch and our final Amercian iced coffee of the trip no doubt, but boy was it good, mind you it should have been for what it cost.........
We headed out to MMM INternational Zambia, made me think of my dad that had worked in the past for MMM NZ. It was a very helpful exercise and there was good discussions, ideas and things to think about as we think about needs for Samfya (although Deane and I have no idea what the others are talking about at times, it all seems so confusing so it will be great to finally get there and put the picture in our minds for what is already there and what is needed for the future infrastructure. We then travelled to The Theological College of East Africa to see some of the work done previously by MMM and also a new building that was just beeing started. Loads of really good discussions were held and we met up with a builder named John that was overseeing the project, so he had some more good ideas.
We went back to GLO, got a load of washing done in the machine and cooked dinner. Great meal, beef stir fry (peppers, cabbage, onions, eggplant and beef schnitzel (it was about 3/4 inch thick) so that made the men happy!! I did a pan of crunchy, crispy YUMMY salted potatoe cubes that we were all haning out to get stuck into. Deane had cooked them and realised the frypan handle was a bit loose and was warning Donald about the handle on the frypan, but Donald was busy talking and as Donald grabbed the frypan handle to take across to the table, the entire frypan tipped over, upside down and half our dinner was on the floor. Roger tried to save as many as he could, but wasnt very successful!! Then just as we were about to start dinner Levy and Crispen arrived unannounced for dinner, so out came the loaf of bread to make the meal go further, although we did have plenty.
