We woke up to a fabulous Ugandan thunder and lightning storm and we unable to go and meet Deborah at her ministry, as planned. The vehicle we had been lent was unable to get out on the muddy slippery roads so we just hung out, Warwick woke up unwell and was tested for malaria - POSITIVE came back, so 2 down in the Dingle home!!!
After lunch it cleared up and we were able to get out of the property and up to the village. We went to the trading centre and got some food for Pastor George and Robinia Kiintu, from a local Mukono church that we met last year. We visited them and their family and they were thrilled to see us, the kids loved the bouncy balls, balloons and lollie pops, but as normal, there are never enough to go around every child that pops out fo the jungle!!
We then got some groceries and visited Mark and Mama Mark, the family Deane first met in 2007 on the Riverbend missions team when they built an addition to their home. They too were so excited to see us. Unfortunately the plasters that were put on Marks legs to help with circulation and hopefully a little more movement werent as successful as the dr's had hoped so he is still very floor bound, when he is not in his wheelchair. (Warwick recently visited and was fortunate enough to have 2 wheelchair wheels donated to fix the wheelchair so now Mark is back out on the veranda watching every vehicle that passes by). We actually drove past yesterday and he waved out, he said he knew it was Deane driving!!!
Well that was the afternoon cut and we headed back to Noahs Ark in time for dinner at 6pm.
