Well this was the day I had been looking forward to most.
We headed into Kampala and met up with Deborah and Esther. So with Alex and Simon and the girls we went out for lunch and spent the next 3 hours catching up. It was so good to see them.
Deborah is looking so well and enjoying her new lifestyle as a Uni student. She is currently working with One Child One Smile Ministry on weekends but is studying fulltime to upgrade her educatioin studies to a Degree in Education for High School level. SHe is hoping to have her studies finished by April 2011.
Esther too looked good, although she was a little tired and quiet, she was preparing for a friends "Introduction". Esther has finished her Theology studies at the UCU (Uganda Christian University) in Mukono and is currently working with Compassion Ministry in Central Buganda.
Simon is the President of the "Chastity Club" at Seroma Christian school where he is currently studying to complete his A Levels. He has been doing a fundraiser, t-shirts for club members and had designed the logo for the t-shirts he had just purchased. So while we were in Kampala he took a boda downtown to have the t-shirts screenprinted, was only to take 2 hours but I think we ended up waiting for 4 hours!!!
Meanwhile we did some shopping and got some things, then the rest of us just enjoyed sitting and chatting.
We visited the university Deboarh is studying at and she picked up some things and headed back to the Dingles with us for the night.
We just missed another HUGE thunderstorm, got home in time for dinner and a reasonable early night, all the boys are in bed by 8.30pm and Marilyn and Warwick were pretty tired, they had kept going most of the day but needed a good sleep to help them recover quickly from the malaria.
