We are safely in Jo'burg.
After missing our Auck - perth flight by 1 minute (the plane was backing out from the door) we then flew to Melbourne and a man collapsed on the plane by us and we were delayed 30mins while the paramedics came on, we got out and were told we didnt have to do customs or documents or bags, but just go to transit lounge - NOT we had to do documents, customs and bags, they have lost one of our bags and then we MISSED the plane from Melbourne to Perth because of the hassels.
We finally got a plane to Perth, had to drive 20 mins from domestic to international airport and got through customs with 15 minutes to spare before we got on the plane to Jo'burg - 11 hours later we got here 5.30am!
Hotel shuttle didnt start til 7am so we spent time trying to locate our missing bag, it was in Sydney and is to arrive in Joburg at 2pm Wednesday (exactly the same time as we fly to Uganda!!) We had to apply our reading of James 1 to this situation with joy (but mum didnt do so well, 12 hours after leaving home we were only at the airport in Melbourne, she wanted to come home!!!) Deane just couldnt believe it after waiting all this time to return to Africa.
