Trial is OVER!!!

Well after nearly 8 months of travelling back and forward and staying at the mud house in the village 3 or 4 days a week (other than the very first visit which was 10 days) this village trial is now over.
Last wednesday (29th October) after torrential rain and no sleep all night, I said I cant do this anymore so Deane made the decision, after the days work was finished, to pack up and head home to Mukono and not to do anymore overnight stays.

SO NO MORE................. mud hut, dirt floors, rats, red ant attacks, boiling water for basin showers, coal burner cooking, rice, beans, hard plastic chairs, longdrop, water running through the lounge just to name a few of the hassels of living in the jungle. BUT Im sure there is a reason we have experienced this and the biggest BLESSING through this hardship is having made friends and built relationships with the village people of Kubamitwe and one day it will be really neat to come back and see the friends we have made in the village.

It is amazing to see also the men that Deane has built relationships and made friends with through working on the property have used the opportunity to improve their lives and that of their families, most of the men have either added, renovated or built new houses with iron roofs or put deposits down on land of their own.

SO one of our HARDEST TRIALS actually has turned out to be our GREATEST BLESSING!
