Sunset in Mukono, Uganda

25th April
Bri and I came home for a few days from the village to spend some time to catch up with our friend Dee that has been working as Shannons admin assistance since July last year. Dee was returning home to USA so we had a day in Kampala with her, out for lunch and for her to do some souvenir shopping. It was sad to see her go but she had to go back to the USA for personal stuff. Bri and I braved the maxi taxi is what I call it, the local taxi filled with anything and everything, Bri wasn’t too keen but it turned out not too be too bad, at least there weren’t any animals in this one and it wasn’t overcrowded!
I didn’t really enjoy (apart from seeing Dee off) being back in Mukono this week, Bri was away most fo the time with Emma doing things, so for me it was rather quiet and lonely, and a bit hamstrung without a vehicle. I did a couple of errands to help out, driving and dropping off and collecting Mark to go the dr’s for his treatment for his legs, he is now standing with the help of a frame. Thats why we have decided it is better for us all to be together as much as possible.
