We saw this sign "AFFITTO" means to rent and were writing down the number when the owner and his father came along and started unlocking it.
Over Google translate we managed to get our conversation going and Bivona the owner was very keen and interested to help us and the African migrants/refugees by allowing us to rent the room, not just a single room but a double room with great street frontage & appeal - he told us his price, Deane said it was a little high, so he dropped it by €100 straight away!
We made an appointment to go back with JD so they could negotiate a deal in Italian.
We went back, he reduced the rent by another €50 and we are in the process of completing the paperwork!
Hoping to take over the centre on the 15th June and we have already had a request from a ministry to share the cost and use the building at times we wont be using it!!!
