Celebration

we headed out for a celebration lunch, after 5.5 hours we were done and starving, only a bottle of water all day

the van and driver headed back to Mpigi to return the cripple land owner, nephew and other family members

and we headed out for lunch - well afternoon tea

then Kampala was crowded and we had to get public transport home - 38 degrees walking through the middle of Kampala we got a taxi, only 20 in this taxi, then we got caugt in a traffijam, so we got out and Simon directed us throught this HUGE roundabout to theentebbe taxi park, some of you will be envisaging and knowing exactly where we are, others of you will have no idea BUT it is absolute caos normally, but by now it was 5pm and New Years Eve - 1000's of people, 2 muzungus (us), taxis trucks, bodas, you name it is was on that roundabout!!! haha

Finally we got a taxi, crammed in like sardines and what would normally take 35 -45 minutes, took us 2 hours, I was on the side by the window in the sun, it was like a sauna and it was exhausting

NOT helped by the fact Deane was sitting next to me, fading by the minute, feeling terribly ill, wanting to throw up, lucky he didnt chuck all over the 3 in the front seat.

think he got food poisoning form the chicken, even though we ate at a good restaurant, he was miserable

we arrived home, 11 hours after we had left, tired, dirty and exhausted and then had to join the compound New Years evening dinner for 28 people (although Deane went straight to bed)

WHAT A DAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
