Deane's Worker's at Kubamitwe

It was great to see all of Deane's workers come together to meet with him. They had been communicating for the last few days telling each other to expect and meet with him.

It was cool, there were many hugs and laughs and reminiscing of stories from back in 2008.

Everyone was very excited to see us, they couldn't believe we didn't look that old!! Or how much Sam and Bri had grown. They thanked us for visiting and didn't believe that they would ever see us again.

It was hugely encouraging for us to hear from many of the workers and also the women from the bible studies that they now had a personal relationship with Jesus as their Saviour and some had been baptised. It was in 2008 with us living and sharing in the village that the seed of truth had been sown. They thanked us again for living in their village, sharing the gospel through bible studies and for giving them a bible each.

We met Sied, a strong Muslim, one of the workers who attended regular bible studies in 2008 and who spent a lot of time discussing with Deane the differences between the Christian and Muslim faiths. He shared that he had begun reading the bible we gave him and he is now born again. Praise God. He told us that in the muslim faith they are told not to read a bible because they know it holds the truth and it will upset their muslim beliefs.

Hearing these testimonies was so encouraging and reminded us that sometimes the hard trials in life bear the most fruit, all in God's time.
