Well we traveled from Riverside to LA and dropped off all our luggage at Ted's apartment. Deane had made arrangements to drop the van back to Dirk (3,000 miles, the new tyre, some oil and a new set of snow chains later) over at Glendale. We got to Teds and he said if we are dropping it off we better get going its 3.30pm Friday afternoon and LA traffic, we soon got to realise what he meant - usually a 40 minute trip, it took us just under 2 hours, bumper to bumper pretty much all of the way! We dropped the van off and then turned around and thought oh no what is this going to be like. Anyway the return trip took 45 minutes. We arrived at Teds apartment to be greeted by Becky and Megan, friends from Uganda and then we headed out for dinner on the water at the Cheesecake Factory, more food just what we all needed. We had a great night tho.
