Santa Barbara to San Francisco

We left after waffles for breakfast and headed up the 101 HIghway to San Francisco. We were going to stay with the "Palmers" people we didnt know but friends of friends in NZ. What a blessing that turned out to be, Curt and Debbie turned out to be the greatest couple, wonderfully kind and hospitable and treated us just like family. They have two married sons, we got to meet Andy and his wife Jessica on our last morning there.
Cruising in the van

We stayed with them over two nights and all they seemed to do was cook us the most amazing meals!!!
We spent Saturday out sigthseeing around san Francisco, photos below, then headed home late in the day to yet another scrummy meal. FOOD GALORE, there are so many options and it is SO cheap in the USA, it is just mindblowing and of course there is COSTCO, for anyone that doesnt know this is a bulk packaged company that sell just about EVERYTHING bulk and we have enjoyed our visits there. USA food prices make NZ food prices seem unbelievable.
ANYWAY enough raving about food, but considering how expensive and how little choices that were available in Uganda, i just cant help being blown away by it!!
