We left Dove Canyon, the weather was terrible, raining and freezing cold, snowing on the mountions not far away and we had to head out to Glendale to get the stickers for the Dodge Ram van lent to us by Dirk a friend of Nigel and Sereena's for our trip north.

We headed north to Santa Barbara to Abbey and Aaron Swaneys - they had been to Uganda throughout the year and adopted Adam (Uncleman) so it was great to see the family and how they had all adjusted so well to having Uncleman in their family.
We took the day and looked around the Pier at Santa Barbara, went to the Maritime Museum and then headed up to the Army Firing range with Aaron, he had served as an officer in the recent war in Iraq so we went up and had a turn with his "guns".
