Murchison Falls National Park

My favourite, The Giraffe, the only animal I really wanted to see and there was heaps of them.

A VERY long day of travelling to get to the National Park, we thought we were just about there after a 5 hour drive and were thinking we had done SO well, making good time, then the Park Ranger told us it was STILL annother 3 hours on a dirt road. Then we waited to board the car ferry and arrived at the Lodge around 4.30pm, very tired and very hot, just in time for a long cool swim.
Cooled off then got ready for dinner, very nice food. We headed off to bed and up early next morning for a trip up the River Nile to Murchison falls. Boat broke down and after a little bit of a hassle we scored another boat and took off before all the other tourists made the same plan. We got back in time for lunch, the other tourists were just heading out on a boat as we were arriving back at the jetty. Back in time for another HUGE feed, yummy food and then out for the afternoon through the National Park and we saw animals everywhere, even the lions which was a real bonus. Great tiime was had by all!!! Just very tired and ready for more food and an earlish night.

Friday am we got up and packed, leaving after breakfast for the Murchison Falls from the top view, Warwick was very unwell and got worse as the day wen ton, what a miserable day and long trip home , one not to remember for him.
