A short week after Easter, mainly at home, Deane took us into Kampala on Easter Monday to try and get some tools organised for taking to Luweero for digging etc. We had a look around another area of Kampala and think we are getting used to the driving and getting in and out of town and have even got some short cuts sorted and working well. We visited a local market too.
Deane has got the steel out to Mukono and it is currently being fabricated, and will spend a lot more time over the next week or so back and forward to oversee the steel fabrication so that hopefully at the end of next week the loader can be ordered and sent to set the fence line on the boundary of the Luweero property. There is some surveying that now requires completing before anything can move at Luweero. Deane has been busy at times meeting with people to sort the water and other stuff to get organised in advance for once it is ALL GO”!!!
Boys have had a bit of a “bored week” since the schooling is going well and with the rain there is not a lot else to do. Deane is hoping they will go to Luweero with him, Bri and I are now not going to go, with the rain it is cold and damp and we would need to take a truck with all the gear!!! We need 10 mattresses just to sleep on and then it is so primitive Deane doesn’t want us left by ourselves or isn’t keen on the prospect of it wrecking my back sleeping on the ground. Im a bit disappointed but maybe I will get to do regular day visits back and forward, although I cant just drive there myself, it is 1.5 hours away and the roads are TREACHEROUS!!! Also, it costs 60,000 for every return trip.
