SUNDAY (JANUARY 27th) IN DUBAI

Again we slept well and Bri was still not feeling 100% - Deane went down to the local pharmacy and got some pills which really helped with the nasal congestion and sore throat. Lots of water seemed to be a great help also.
We ordered a taxi (you have to order a people mover cos the local taxi is only allowed to take 4 passengers, of course they always tried to just get you to split into two taxis BUT we only did that once, the very first time we used a taxi in Singapore and realised our mistake!!) and we headed for the Mall of the Emirates over in the new part of the city. This mall is totally Americanised with all the brand shops and just our luck – 50% off sales everywhere, only problem was we didn’t have a spare 1kg for luggage weight for flying to Entebbe so we had to just be content with looking!! Amazing mall and at the end of the mall was the indoor ski field – what an awesome sight. Today was a cool drizzly day, according to our tour guide there was only 10days of drizzly rain a year in Dubai and the temperatures in July/Aug reached between 45 and 53 degrees so we were glad it was February and so called winter!
Bri wasn’t very well by the time we got back to the hotel so Bri and I stayed in while the boys went exploring around the shops by the hotel.
